How the award
will be used

The award will be used for a package of advertising, publicity and support items designed to attract more mothers to the group and enable them to reach their breastfeeding goals. This will mean better health outcomes for the mothers and their babies.

The group is a relaxed drop-in group where mums can come and have a cup of tea, a biscuit and see a friendly face. It has toys for older children, books and breastfeeding clothes that mums can borrow.

They know that continuing publicity is key to getting the word out there about the group so they need to maintain this. Many mums have said that they would have given up breastfeeding had it not been for the support they received at the group.
