How the award |
The group has expanded to include Silver, Gold Awards & Ten Tors Challenge, buying new & modern equipment thanks to grants. The current DofE store is a third of a garage which is inadequate and damp. A new store location has been identified and fund raising started to raise £4000 towards costs of the new store, concrete base, electrics and installation. £500 would go towards this project. The remainder used to subsidise the cost of training 2/3 new mountain leaders who have already volunteered. They can then continue taking students walking in Snowdonia and further afield for the Gold Award |
