How the award |
The Cadets have grown in number significantly in the last 18 months, and the adult volunteers would like the cadets to enjoy a wider range of activities to ensure that they can all be occupied and engaged at all times.
The cadets enjoy playing with Flight Simulator software on their own personal computers and have asked for a more comprehensive, more sophisticated and more realistic version to be installed at the squadron premises to be used as a group activity.
The award will enable the squadron to go ahead and purchase such a programme as the cadets themselves have already raised a substantial amount of the cost through marshalling local marathons and other sponsored events. |
