How the award |
The Senior Section Rangers Girlguiding UK are celebrating their centenary this year and have plans for lots of celebration activities. The Sherborne Senior Section are planning several such activities. One is a sleepover at Alton Towers.
The award will be used to part fund the purchase of four(4) light weight tents to sleep ¾ to enable them to attend this event. The tents cost £99 each [total £396]. The section will be organising a cake stall and sponsored swim to raise the balance of the funds needed.
The tents will be used for several other events where sleepovers are planned. This will enable the Senior Section Rangers to gain their camp licence. They will then be able to take Guides away to camp. |
