The Community Fund award was presented at the school leavers' celebration in St Mary's Church. It will be used to purchase a new large BBQ. It will be used at the various fundraising events during the year. We plan to hold Easter, Christmas and Summer Fayres along with mid-term events to raise money for our school to benefit the pupils. The events are normally held within the school grounds or the local area such as the Sports Ground, the Pre-school grounds or the Church where joint events are held such as the Easter Fayre.

The PTA normally provide and operate the BBQ at the events to sell hot dogs and burgers. These items are very important profit makers for the school. The new large BBQ will replace the existing ones which no longer work properly and are not efficient when they do.

Ultimately the school will benefit as the profit will stay in the school funds for ‘improvements and up keep’ thus supporting the present and future pupils at the school.
