How the award
will be used

The award will be used to purchase litter picking tools, gloves, bags and safety tabbards as required.

Increasingly members of the community are being encouraged to litter pick in the area where they live. They are supplied by the organiser with the tools to do so on a permanent basis at a cost to our campaign.

The group have over 150 supporters who clear litter throughout the year within the boundaries of Sherborne town. This activity has considerable impact in encouraging tourists to visit Sherborne and maintaining the beauty of our town. As proof that the campaign is working comes from the fact that they are now collecting 50% less litter than four years ago
