How the award |
They will use the award for publicity material to raise awareness of the group and to advertise it as widely as possible in the local area. This will ensure the group attracts new mums so that they can get breastfeeding help if they need it.
Secondly to help with the cost of refreshments. They ask for donations towards refreshments but often this has to be subsidised by the volunteer breastfeeding supporters. They are anxious that all mums are able to attend the group irrespective of their means. Finally they intend to buy some specialist breastfeeding books and leaflets for mums to look at during the groups meetings as well as some that they can borrow. |
